Luxury Manhattan Residential Buildings with Breathtaking Indoor Pools
With freezing temperatures on the forecast for NYC this week, indoor amenities are top-of-mind for buyers at some of the city’s most luxurious condos. Indoor pools, which are not prey to weather, can offer a little taste of summer amidst the cold. We found 4 breathtaking indoor pools that have everything from dramatic architecture, to sweeping views, and beyond. Whether residents are looking to spend the day splashing about with the family or are seeking an alternative for their daily exercise, these luxury Manhattan residential buildings have a range of options. Rose Hill Developed by Rockefeller Group, Rose Hill is the all-new 45-story luxury condominium tower in NoMad. Designed inside and out by CetraRuddy, the Art Deco building is inspired by the historic firm’s greatest creation in all aspects including the interior design of the pool space. Inspired by the public bath houses of the 30s and 40s and the Spirit of Normandy ship directly, Rose Hill’s 50-foot pool is clad in hand-wrought tiles and trimmed with deep turquoise handmade tiles from Vermont. The artful center masterpiece, at the end of the space, pays homage to women and the Amazon goddesses of the time period. 200 East 83rd Naftali and Rockefeller Groups’ new Upper East Side residential tower 200 East 83rd is the first collaboration between Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Rottet Studio, the renowned interior design firm. Rottet Studio designed the building’s 86 bespoke residences and shared spaces, while RAMSA created a suite of club-like amenities. The 17th floor at 200 East 83rd features a seventy-foot pool. Uniquely situated in the middle of the 35-story limestone-clad tower, the pool room features a vaulted ceiling, honed limestone walls and a double-height loggia with floor-to-ceiling arched windows and French doors. Since launching 30% pre-sold in October, 200 East 83rd has already broken neighborhood sales records and the amenities have been noted as a huge selling point for buyers. 53 West 53 Created by Singapore-based luxury real estate developer Pontiac Land and Hines, 53 West 53 is the striking 82-story residential tower rising 1,050 feet above the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Pritzker Prize-winning starchitect Jean Nouvel designed the building’s eye-catching exterior architecture and the interiors of the full-floor residence club, which features 15,000 square feet of lavish wellness amenities. Within this Wellness Center at 53W53, residents can enjoy a naturally lit 65-foot lap pool, cold plunge pool and hot tub situated between poolside vertical gardens designed by French botanist Patrick Blanc. Each “wellness wall” uses over 3,500 plants, giving each garden a rich multi-dimensional texture. 505 W 43 505 W 43 is the new Midtown luxury condo located at the intersection of Hell’s Kitchen and Hudson Yards. Comprised of two boutique towers situated around a lush courtyard, the building was designed by ODA New York with interiors and a comprehensive collection of amenities designed by Andres Escobar.
